The iconic Hawar Resort is being completely reimagined with an aim to regenerate the existing hotel into an eco-responsive destination. The main hub of the resort is in the existing hotel, positioned on a rocky outcrop looking out to sea and the distant islands on the horizon. The building is being reinvigorated with modern interpretations of traditional Bahraini architectural details, bringing authenticity and simplicity to the structure.

Two renovated guest room wings splay outwards from the centralised core. Each guest room will enjoy spectacular sea views from their outdoor terraces and balconies, overlooking a beautifully manicured pool deck, connecting guests with the sea and coastline beyond.

The all-day dining restaurant on the lowest level spills out on to the landscaped pool terrace allowing for generous al-fresco dining. A dramatic linear pool aligned on a central axis with the hotel reinforces the connection to the sea beyond. A more organic family focused pool with ample shading is located at the end of the southern guest wing. A pool grill pavilion serves both areas and provides screening between these two spaces.

The function building and the club lounge are located between the hotel and the marina’s breakwater, both slightly elevated and overlooking the beach adjoining the breakwater, with great connections to Hawar Adventure and Water Park behind. The rest of the resort gently meanders down three beaches, lined with villas and guest rooms, to the south of the main hotel.
