Phase 1 of The Avenues – Bahrain Mall led to the establishment of one of the most unique shopping malls in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Worth USD 159 million (BD60 million) and an expected 4,000 jobs for Bahrainis, the project’s implementation lasted two years. The Avenues is a unique seafront location stretching 1.5 km, strategically located in the heart of Manama, along King Faisal highway.

The project’s Phase 1 comprises the Grand Avenue and the Harbour facilities and features 40,000 sqm of leasable space, half of which is devoted to restaurants and cafes overlooking the Bahrain Bay. Apart from 130 retail units, additional facilities include a family entertainment area, games hall, 10 cinema halls, parks, walkways and car parks. Designed similarly to The Avenues in Kuwait, the project’s architecture features a covered roof to allow sunlight in and block the heat out.
